Some history...
People from Leuven will remember the rebirth of hardcore here, back in the year 2002-2003. Because of this reincarnation, a small group of friends decided to give a Hardcore party. After some negotiations, the chosen date was the first of July 2003, in a bar in Leuven called “Plugged-in”. They also chose a name for the party: Hardcore Maniacs

After a successful first edition of Hardcore Maniacs, plans were already made for the next edition. Although the Plugged-In was not a proper location for this party, the second edition was also held there because they were still looking for another location. Hardcore Maniacs 2 took place on Saturday 20th of September 2003.

The second edition was also very successful so plans were once again made for a third edition. Hardcore Maniacs 3 ‘The Underground Revenge’ took place on Friday 12th of March 2004 on a new location: ‘De Blauwe Kater’ in Leuven.

The fourth edition ‘Night Of Darkness’, took place on Friday 28th of May 2004 in ‘De Blauwe Kater’ Leuven.

Because of the bad image Hardcore had been given by the media and because of some problems with locations, the organisation decided to stop organising parties for a while.

Bassindustry & Hardcore Maniacs

Because some of the crewmembers of Bassindustry had good connections with the Hardcore Maniacs crew they decided it was time for sequel. A lot of people have good memories to those good old days. That’s why Bassindustry decided to throw another Hardcore Maniacs party on the 8th of February 2008, five years after the first edition. This will be the start of a new Hardcore Maniacs chapter.
